Pieter van Dokkum is a professor of Astronomy and Physics at Yale University. His research spans a wide range, from stars and stellar populations to the most distant galaxies. Together with Roberto Abraham, he initiated the Dragonfly Telephoto Array in New Mexico, the largest working refracting telescope in existence.
