Lisa is Convergent Research's Head of Communications and Engagement. She helps FROs build their own communications muscle and keeps Convergent Research's story sharp and clear.

Before joining Convergent, Lisa led communications at the Whitehead Institute, ran science communications at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, and built her own consulting practice. She studied biology at UC San Diego and has her PhD from UC Berkeley. After a postdoc at Caltech working on cell fate specification in nematodes, she created WormBook, a go-to resource for the C. elegans research community.

When she is not reading or writing about fascinating science and tech, you’ll find Lisa weaving, spending time with her family, or running with her dog, Stanley.
