Harrison is a Co-Founder at Parallel Squared Technology Institute, where he fosters the Institute’s ability to stay on the cutting edge of proteomics research.
Harrison has been around mass spectrometers daily since 2013, happily using them to explore biology in everything from the marine environment (Ask him about tarballs!) to human disease.
After diving into the world of proteomics at the Broad Institute’s Proteomics Platform, he pursued new frontiers with Professor Nikolai Slavov at Northeastern University, where he earned a PhD in bioengineering. His doctoral work on accessible and high throughput single cell proteomics helped convince a skeptical field that single cell proteomics using mass spectrometers was robust and adoptable with common equipment.
He is passionate about mountain biking, nature photography, and learning to play more than one cool song on the guitar.
